Susanna Reid, host of the BBC’s flagship Breakfast show, has dismissed complaints that that she has been a little too revealing during her early morning sofa stints.

It follows complaints from some prude viewers about her choice of attire, prompting Reid to lash out in the Radio Times: “People seem to be shocked that women have breasts. There will be complaints about the fact that there is literally a shadow.”

The talk seems to have had the desired effect however, as Reid is said to have been scouring Television House for a spare T-shirt minutes before going on air for her latest TV appearance.

Others however have been more taken by the 41-year-old's presenting style, with some viewers taking to Twitter to praise the “spicy” look, another tweeter opined: “Yowza. No news is bad news when she’s reading it.”
