Specsavers has taken over the MSN homepage today to launch its new web game Angry Chef.

Developed by in-house team Specsavers Creative, the game sees a man who mistakes a kitchen for a sauna chased through a hotel by an irate French chef.

Players have to jump over obstacles, pick up items and dodge food projectiles from their angry assailant as they race to the safety of a sauna.

The launch of the game follows Specsavers' 'Sauna' TV ad starring Gordon Ramsey and will available to play on the Specsavers Facebook page.

Specsavers’ digital marketing manager, Tim Langlois, said: “MSN homepage take-overs are a great way for us to capitalise on the success of our much-loved TV campaigns. In the past, we have taken this approach with ‘The Specs Effect’, ‘Mr Men’, ‘Shuttle’ and ‘Postman Pat’ to achieve outstanding results.”
