The ‘Made in Britain’ campaign by Umpf for Stoves has been highlighted by Labour Leader Ed Milliband as he built a case for a national business policy of appointing British businesses rather than looking abroad.

Speaking at a firm of manufacturers yesterday, Milliband highlighted the campaign as he made his case for a ‘patriotic business policy’ for Britain, claiming that it was “essential to support British firms” in order to generate growth within the economy.

Merseyside manufacturing company Stoves campaign, by Umpf was highlighted by Milliband, which last year began a call for a ‘Made in Britain’ marque.

The ‘Made in Britain’ campaign was a national PR campaign which aimed to raise awareness of the Stoves brand and engage British producers, while positioning the brand as championing UK manufacturing.
