We R Interactive releases f-commerce merchandise for its social football game I AM PLAYR

We R Interactive is offering physical merchandise for its fictional football club River Park FC from social football game I AM PLAYR as part of its marketing campaign.

Sold via an F-commerce storefront powered by Zibaba, players can purchase official Nike-branded River Park FC team shirts, as well as the clubs’ scarves.

Oli Madgett, co-Founder of We R Interactive, said: “Through the sale of real-world Nike branded River Park FC shirts and scarves we’re further blurring the boundaries between the virtual football world of I AM PLAYR and real-life football. And this is the first integration of its kind that closes the loop between social gaming and F-Commerce and gamifies the purchase of physical merchandise for the games’ users.”

Players who upload a photo of themselves wearing a River Park FC shirt to the I AM PLAYR Facebook Wall receive 400 free coins for use in I AM PLAYR, while those uploading a photo of themselves wearing a River Park FC scarf receive 100 free coins for the game.
