Hedgehogs are intolerant of cow's milk so this is a neat way of drawing attention to the allergy-busting properties of the advertised product. It's also pretty cute so it's win win... even more so if you work as a hedgehog wrangler as this is the first significant gig for the woodland creature in a very long time.

Its wrong on so many levels to use a wild animal in an advert. I've just seen this on morning TV. Firstly, if the animal has just been brought in from the wild for the ad and will then be returned to the wild - that is a highly stressful experience for them. Secondly, if the animal is trained and domesticated - it is similar to using elephants in a circus show. Plus the added negative to this is that it portrays the animals as cute, which they are, so people watching the ad may be encouraged to keep them as pets. I get that the animals are lactose intolerant and that's the motivation, but the use of animals for our entertainment shows up a lazy, uninspired creative team with questionable ethics.
