Design studio Young has turned its Learn Something Every Day fact series into a range of greetings cards.

Published by UK Greetings, the cards combine Young's quirky illustrations with fascinating facts and are available from WH Smiths, Boots, Martin McColl and independent outlets.

Paul Gosling, director at Manchester-based Young, said: "It’s a fantastic step forward for the Learn Something Every Day brand, to walk into a retailer on the high street and see your product there is a fantastic feeling!

"We have got some exciting things in the pipeline for the brand and we hope that we can spread a bit more fun around those times of the year you need to send some cards.”

Learn Something Every Day started life as a website in August 2009 following a pub conversation between Young's founders Pete Jarvis and Geth Vaughan. The project caught the eye of Penguin, which published the doodles and facts as a book in May 2011.
