A website for the Jill Todd Photographic Awards has been created by Story, celebrating the work of photography students and graduates from major photography and arts degree programmes in Scotland.

As well as designing and building the website, Story created the brand identity and promotional collateral.

The homepage of the website features a picture of Jill Todd, who graduated with first class honours in photography and film in 2009, before dying of cancer in October 2010.

Barrie Todd, Trustee of the Jill Todd Trust, said: “Providing a platform to promote the very best of new photographic talent in Scotland seemed a fitting way to honour the memory of Jill.

“Story helped us to bring our ideas and thoughts together by creating a platform for us to launch the photographic award in a sympathetic, strong and very creative way. In fact we could not have progressed the Award as far or as fully as we have without the skill and extensive input of Story UK. Jill would be very proud of and overwhelmed with what we have done”.

Jim Kelly, deputy managing director and head of planning at Story, added: “It is a great privilege to be part of the team that has helped to bring the Jill Todd Photographic Awards to fruition. The challenge for us was to create something that somehow translated Jill’s own ambitions and dreams for her photography career and for the medium itself, into something that would not only help other ambitious photographers but also help to raise funds to assist other cancer sufferers.”
