The top ten brands on Google+ account for more than 3 million of the 3.1 million followers held by the top 100 brands, research from BrightEdge has found.
The SocialShare analysis by BrightEdge found that there was a 1,400% increase in Google+ followers for the over the last two month.
Clothing giant H&M now holds the number one slot with 462,000 followers, with Samsung, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Sony, Intel, eBay, Google and Amazon also in the top 10.
Jim Yu, BrightEdge CEO, said: “While the growth of the G+ Ten is impressive, in contrast we have noticed many companies seem to be taking a slower, wait-and-see stance to the search giant’s social offering.”

It's great for Google+ that it is getting so many high profile brands on its site. Google+ has been doing a lot to cater to brands, and if more companies sign up for the site, it could accelerate its user base.
