Classifieds website Gumtree has launched its first official app for iPhone and iPod Touch.

The free app allows users to search through thousands of Gumtree ads and then contact sellers directly from the app.

Gumtree's Hamish Stone said: "With so many of us living our lives on-the-go, the Gumtree.com app allows iPhone users to view, contact, and buy at the click of a button - no matter where they are.

"By using the favourites list, users can keep a close eye on their pick of over a million ads at any one time so there is no reason to ever miss out on a bargain again.”
