Photographer Mark McNulty has shot Manchester City boss Robert Mancini and some of his star players for a new ad campaign for club sponsor Etihad.

The airline's ad agency TBWA commissioned McNulty to produce print and online visuals for a lifestyle advertising campaign showing the "luxurious features of travelling with Etihad".

McNulty photographed Mancini, Samir Nasri, Joe Hart, Gael Clichy, Micah Richards and Vincent Kompany at Manchester Airport's Etihad business lounge and onboard an Airbus plane.

"The shoot itself passed very quickly but the level of research took weeks to carry out," McNulty said.

“We didn't see inside the Airbus until the day itself so most planning depended on photographs of the interiors and CGI models.

“And there were considerations about the logistics of shooting air-side on a ’plane with such high profile people who needed accompanying security and the requirements of managing a huge creative team behind-the-scenes.”

McNulty, whose clients include Virgin Trains, EMI Classics and Penguin Books, has now launched a new website to showcase his diverse porfolio. The site was designed by SB Studio.
