Kauko, the world’s first internet-controlled, interactive café, has been set up with help from Finnish creative agency Hasan & Partners and creative studio Perfect Fools.

The café, whose name means ‘remote control’ in Finnish, lets users control the furniture, service and atmosphere through a website, which can lead to an unpleasant experience for customers.

The pop up café is part of a wider campaign to celebrate Finland’s capital city, Helsinki, as ‘World Design Capital 2012’.

Kauko, which will be located at Helsinki’s biggest centre, Forum, for the next few weeks, was built by GP UdstillningsDesign.
