Syco promotes Labrinth’s latest single with Essence campaign

Syco is promoting the latest single, Last Time, of music artist Labrinth in a social media campaign by Essence.

Essence has produced a creative lyric video to go live on VEVO, and a remix competition to run alongside the video on Facebook and Soundcloud.

The purpose of the lyric video is to act as a precursor to the official music video, to be produced later in the year, with Essence taking inspiration from the main themes of the music video, Psychedelic Sky and Neo Tokyo, to animate the video.

To enter the remix competition, fans can produce their own track, using Labrinth music stems, and upload their very own track to the Soundcloud competition page via the Dropbox button on the same tab.

The best track will be selected by Labrinth and will be given a place for free download as a bonus track alongside the release of the single Last Time.

UPDATE: The Drum understands that the competition element of the campaign is excepted to go live next week, although it may be delayed due to content restrictions.
