iCrossing UK has today announced the appointment of Mark Iremonger as chief strategy officer.

He will join the digital marketing agency in mid-April to head up the UK’s strategy team, where he will be tasked with building the agency’s capability to deliver integrated digital marketing communications for clients.

Iremonger, who has spent the past six years as head of digital and planning at Proximity London, said: “iCrossing have unique expertise in search, social and content creation because of their heritage. These are the essential new building blocks marketing needs to engage consumers and better connect them to brands to create value.

“What strikes me about iCrossing is the quality and ambition of the team; they have an eye fixed firmly on the future of ‘connected brands’. I’m excited about bringing my experience to the table to help create value for iCrossing’s clients.”

Paul Doleman, CEO, said: “Mark’s strategic approach and experience of marketing communications for some of the world’s leading brands makes him an excellent addition to the team. He understands how digital and traditional strategic solutions need to work together and is an advocate of truly connected digital strategies that make the best of search, social and content in the marketing mix. He will be a great asset to the team’s strategic capabilities in the UK and globally, and I look forward to working with him.”
