Once you had to wait with bated breath late at night to see what the Super Bowl advertisers had cooked up. Now advertisers have been rushing to put their ads online before the game on Sunday, presumably to get more bang for their buck, as the saying goes.

All set for the Super Bowl

There is still an element of suspense: some of the ads are "teasers"; you have to wait for the game for the extended "story" versions.

A number of the ads have already been featured by The Drum but now US magazine Adweek has posted a list of 31 of the commercials. Most, but not all, let you click through to the video.

The Super Bowl is fast becoming an auto show (Hence the Vroom! Vrooom!). Last year there was a record number of car-related spots and there is an even bigger haul this year.

AdWeek says, "Expect close to 20 separate auto (or auto-related) commercials in the game—that's almost one-third of the total number of spots."

Apart from cars, new faces include tax-prep software 2nd Story, real estate giant Century 21, yogurt-maker Dannon and retail clothing chain H&M, plugging David Beckham's underpants.

Familiar faces also to be seen: Coca-Cola, Pepsi , Anheuser-Busch, CareerBuilder, E*Trade, Go Daddy and Mars.
