Heineken is building on the success of Foster’s Good Call ad campaign with a sixth execution, created by Adam & Eve, showing ‘Agony Uncles’ Brad and Dan dishing out more advice.

The latest 40 second ad, which breaks nationally on 1 February, features John from Norwich calling the pair for pre-holiday advice and asks if he should wax his hairy back before making the trip.

Brad and Dan assure him that “some of the greatest men in history including Julius Caesar, Bill Shakespeare and Brad’s Great Uncle Dazza had backs that a kookaburra could nest in” – before pronouncing that “waxing is for cars.”

Media planning and buying for the ‘Hair Dryer’ ad was handled by MediaVest.

Nic Casby, brand manager for Foster’s at Heineken, said: “The new execution is built around the insight that personal grooming and appearance plays an important part in the lives of Foster’s drinkers.

“The ‘Good Call’ campaign continues to re-establish Foster’s in the bright sunny world synonymous with the Amber Nectar and Brad and Dan’s straight talking advice has established Good Call as one of the UK’s most effective and engaging fmcg campaigns.”
