St Ermin’s hotel has doubled its online revenue in the month following a website revamp by Shout Digital.

The website revamp followed a £30million refurbishment of the hotel.

Shout Digital redesigned the whole front end and built a new content management system to be in line with the hotel’s new look.

Gary Boon, managing director of Shout Digital, said: “Our ultimate objective was to help attract visitors to the site to then book the hotel without looking like it was overly focused on sales. We did this by making it easier and simpler to navigate towards this point.

“Because we were able to build the website incorporating user experience processes in all of our designs, we were able to maximise the success of the online marketing, improve SEO and therefore increase conversions.

“The website is an ongoing development - we have the English language version and it is now being worked on with St Ermin’s marketing team Roar Image, to populate it into Spanish and French.”

The agency has now been appointed to redesigning the hotel’s sister website, The Caxton Grill restaurant.
