STV’s current affairs programme Scotland Tonight ended up broadcasting a little more than expected when a sex scene from Shameless was televised over the shoulder of one guest during an interview.
The Scottish Sun reports that while interviewing political blogger Dan Hodges, who was in ITN’s London studios, over his shoulder a monitor could be seen featuring scenes from Channel 4 drama Shameless of a naked blonde in the throws of passion.
The scene was aired during a debate on Labour leader Ed Miliband, including Shadow Scottish Secretary Willie Bain and presented by John MacKay.
A spokesperson for STV told The Sun: "We hope viewers weren't too distracted by the unexpected and incidental content on the show."
