Manchester experience design company Play has appointed former Love boss Alistair Sim as its strategy director.

Sim, who previously worked at The Chase after his departure from Love, will join the agency’s management team, alongside managing director Steve Groves and creative director Dom Rodwell.

“We’re over the moon to have Alistair on board,” said Steve Groves. “He’s been working with us for several months on a consultancy basis, and things just naturally fell into place.”

Sim added: “Sometimes you wait a while for the right opportunity to come along. Play’s business model is very close to my heart and it was hard to resist. Having advised Dom and Steve for several months I’m delighted that they have asked me to join the team.”

In his role, Sim will be tasked with heading up the agency’s client strategy development, as well as recruitment and internal product development and partnerships.
