The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills has enlisted brand agency Sledge and communications consultancy Kindred to promote a new initiative for British manufacturing.

The two agencies have created the 'Make it in Great Britain' campaign, which aims to transform the image of modern manufacturing among the general public, investors and young people looking for work.

Kindred will deliver a national PR programme which will focus on stakeholder relations, consumer and B2B communications.

Sledge's task is to create a six-week exhibition of the best of modern British manufacturing, which will take place at the Science Museum during the summer.

Kindred's client services director, Laura Capell, said: "We’re working with some great companies and finding out first hand just how cutting-edge manufacturing in this country can be, and we’re looking forward to demonstrating this to a wider national and international audience."
