Ed Miliband has deleted his tweet saying that he was sad about the death of Bob Holness, who used to present game show Blockbusters…or as he called it ‘Blackbusters’.

While the comment may have been funny in itself, the fact it appeared the day after Diane Abbott’s ‘divide and conquer’ tweet made the typo-ed tweet go viral, with many asking to ‘have an ‘o’ please, Bob’ – a joke from how contestants asked for letters as part of the game.

A fake Twitter account for Diane Abott has added to the comedy, tweeting the Labour leader asking ‘who are you calling a Blackbuster?’ and the Liberal Democrat press office has tweeted 'We can confirm that we have not hacked Ed Miliband's Twitter account. That's all him.'

‘Blackbusters’ is now trending on Twitter in the UK.

Some Twitter users have expressed their disappointment that Miliband simply removed the comment after the mistake was noticed, instead of apologising or making a joke out of the error.
