R&R Ice Cream appoints the7stars to account

R&R Ice Cream has appointed the7stars to handle its £2 million media and buying account.

The ice cream producer, which includes brands such as Fab lollies and Skinny Cow, moves from Mindshare, which declined to repitch.

Charlotte Hambling of R&R Ice Cream said: “the7stars impressed us with their insight and understanding of what is a rapidly evolving sector. We have a number of new innovations coming to market in 2012 and their in-depth knowledge and creative ideas will be central to our success.”

New campaigns will focus initially around the premium Cornish ice cream brand Kelly’s of Cornwall and frozen yogurt brand yoomoo. TV will be central to activity across 2012 to drive footfall and take away purchase, with creative to be handled by Devilfish.

Jenny Biggam, founding partner of the7stars said: “The ice cream market is incredibly competitive, but R&R is leading the field in innovation, quality and product development which makes it one of the fastest growing companies in the sector.”
