Prime Minister David Cameron is to receive his own personalised iPad app to help him keep abreast of Government news and updates.

The app, which is being created by programmers in the Cabinet office, will allow Cameron to see up-to-date crime statistics, unemployment numbers and NHS waiting-list data, amongst other facts and figures, at a glance.

The app, which is expected to be ready by March, will also include feeds from Google and Twitter.
