US Congressmen call on Twitter to block Taliban accounts

Senators in the US have called upon Twitter to block the accounts of Taliban propagandists.

According to The Telegraph, congressmen has contacted that San Francisco headquartered social media site, requesting it to stop the propaganda feeds.

Congress is attempting to prevent tweets about Taliban attacks or promotion of the terrorist movement’s statements.

Twitter has also been used as a platform for Taliban defenders to spar with Nato representatives.

A spokesperson for Twitter refused to comment when questioned about the possible blocking of Taliban accounts.
