Military Wives soloist reveals that she was targetted by internet trolls over tattoos

One of the leading members of the Military Wives choir which took the number one slot in the Christmas music charts has claimed that she was the target of internet trolls discussing her tattoos.

Samantha Stevenson told The Sum that the comments made online about her tattoos were “hurtful” and added that she would celebrate the success of the choir by adding a new remembrance poppy tattoo.

Comments about Stevenson’s tattoo’s were made through Facebook and Twitter, with some saying that the soloist shouldn’t even be allowed on TV as a result.

The Military Wives, led by conductor Gareth Malone, beat off competition from Little Mix, winners of The X Factor, after selling 556,000 copies of ‘Wherever You Are’, to take the Christmas top spot in the song chart.
