Communications agency Cravens is offering the public the chance to make it snow in its office by tweeting the agency with the hashtag #makeitsnow.

The agency took a standard snow machine and built a new remote control for it, which allows tweets from the site to activate the unit. A live feed of the office is available on the website, which allows users to see the snow.

Cravens said: “It’s Christmas again and time for the customary festive card or email to clients and friends. However this year we thought we’d do something a little different. We love our gadgets and new-fangled technology at Cravens and have been playing about with the Arduino hardware for a few months now as part of our R&D work, switching lights and kettles on and off remotely.

“So we thought let’s take that knowledge and do something bigger and way cooler. And there’s nothing cooler than snow? We let visitors to our website make it snow in the office with one simple tweet – even when we were having a meeting in the room!”
