Babestation parodied by sexy accountancy video campaign for Brightbook

Accountancy website Brightbook has developed a series of online videos spoofing adult satellite channel Babestation, in an attempt to generate awareness of the company’s services.

The XXXAccounting videos are available through a special microsite and have been produced in-house by the online free-to-use service. The aim of the campaign is to present accountancy as a pleasure, fun and sexy experience while generating more users for the website.

In all, eight videos are available, with the two main videos featuring Carol and Colin, with various short videos showing them performing accountancy tasks at the request of their callers, including sharpening a pencil and playing with plastic pocket folders.

James Henderson, co-founder of mybrightbook, explained; “XXXAccounting is a channel 'for accounting lovers', where the hosts are accountants, and the viewers/callers get-off on the most remedial of tasks, such as sharpening a pencil, or playing with paperclips. When the idea popped in my head I contacted my friend Louisa Fitch (commercials director and designer) and cheekily asked if she'd be up for making it happen, for free. She instantly said yes, which took me a little by surprise. Together, over the next couple of months we amassed a group of 15 people who all donated their time to make the videos.”
