Google has officially complained to the National Arbitration Forum over a cybersquatter cashing in on wayward keyboard strokers by snapping up half a dozen domains which differ from the official YouTube address by just a single character.

Amongst the domains being targetter is Youtub, Yutube and Youtue which redirect those seeking online video clips to a money making scam questionnaire.

Mimicking official Youtube typography and logos the site purports to be an offer from the tech giant of a ‘thank you’

Google protest that this infringes their trademark and is in bad faith, adding that the owner has no legitimate right to the domain.

If Google is successful they will be handed full control of all the domains.
