EDF Energy is to review it below-the-line advertising account.

Through a tender process, which is currently in its early stages, the utility giant will appoint two agencies to focus on the B2B and B2C markets. Both are expected to be in place by June 2012.

Archibald Ingall Stretton is the incumbent on this account, having held it for the last three years.

The review will see the Marketing Agencies Association manage the initial stages, with the brief not involving digital marketing, which is currently the subject of another review, not does it impact upon any PR activity.

Martin Stead, marketing director at EDF Energy said; “It is usual for EDF Energy marketing agency contracts to be reviewed on a regular basis. As part of this process the below the line advertising agency account is due to be tendered for competitive pitch.”
