An app has been released by Adidas to coincide with the launch of its F50 football boot and the miCoach Speed Cell.

Developed for both iPhone and iPod touch, the miCoach Football app syncs Speed Cell, which introduces technological data gathering into training, capturing an athlete’s every movement and performance, and share this through social media or upload to the Adidas interactive training system website.

The app includes an avatar of the athlete, who features in the mini game, with the avatar improving its performance the more the athlete trains or plays.

The app experience walk-through includes Barcelona defender Daniel Alves, who also provide encouragement through a series of in-app videos and motivational messages.

The advertising campaign promoting the Adidas boot also launched earlier this week, featuring Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.
