An upcoming design event in Manchester this week is set to determine its agenda through social media.

The ‘Print, Digital and Experiential: A Celebration of Design Culture’ event being organised by Eskimo Creative, will include a viewing for 100 students from Salford University, Shillington College and Staffordshire University, and will be following by a lecture and workshop offering advice and lessons from the agency upon embarking on a career in design.

Students have been asked to submit questions to the agency through Twitter, with 110 having already been sent. Eskimo has said that it will begin a conversation through Twitter ahead of Thursday’s event, discussing with the students what type of things they would like to know. A live feed will also run during the event to allow questions to be asked by those unable to attend.

The person who send the best question asked through Twitter will also receive three limited edition screenprinted posters designed by the agency, alongside a 60 page book of photography by Percy Dean.

Speakers at the event will include creative Natasha Wilcocks, James Gilbert, Matt Kendall, Percy Dean and James OConnell.

The invite only event will be held on Thursday, 3 November at Oxford Place in Manchester.
