The People's Postcode Lottery has appointed Rippleffect to handle its social media strategy.

The Liverpool digital agency will aim to increase the number of people playing the lottery and promote the work it does for charities.

Nicola Peate, the agency's social media manager, said: "We see huge potential for People’s Postcode Lottery to maximise the work they do with charities through social media as well as adding additional value for their players who can now extend their relationship with People’s Postcode Lottery to more than just buying a ticket.”

Jo Bucci, managing director of People's Postcode Lottery, added: "Social media is increasingly important to us as a way to communicate to our players and the general public, whether about our winners or the good causes players support."
