Scottish National Party leaders formally launched the independence referendum campaign yesterday, with party activists given packs bearing the message "Scotland - It's Starting".
The campaign is being funded by the £918,000 left to the party in the will of poet Edwin Morgan.
Nationalists are also launching their ‘biggest donation drive ever’ with party members urged to help build up a ‘fighting fund’ for the independence campaign.
SNP campaign director Angus Robertson (pictured) said at the party's annual conference in Inverness: "Our independence campaign starts now. It's starting. The starting gun is being fired.
"This is the roadmap to independence, the biggest ever campaign in our history.
"It will reach every household, it will reach every voter in Scotland. We will speak with as many voters as possible, supporters, waverers and people who have yet to be convinced."
