Co-operative Group to launch online grocery service in next year
The Co-operative Group is planning to launch an online grocery service within the next year, it was revealed in a conference.
Helen Bridgett, head of strategy, insight and planning, said at the IGD Online Grocery Retailing conference that the launch was ‘within reach’, although details are still being fleshed out.
She described desktops as online grocery superstores and phones as online c-stores, saying the growth of smartphone use "brings huge opportunities".
