Fred Perry has appointed creative agency The Tailor of Shoreditch to create a brand experience for the clothing brand’s VIP guesting suite and opening party at the forthcoming gig by The Specials.

Fred Perry will be hosting a pre and post gig VIP experience and opening party for invited guests, press and competition winners at the Alexandra Palace event on 3 November.

Richard Martin, director of marketing at Fred Perry, said: “We chose The Tailor of Shoreditch based upon a number of factors. Having seen some of their recent productions it was clear that the agency has a real understanding of youth and subculture – that, mixed with a clear love for the Fred Perry brand made them the obvious partner for this activity.”

Ian Irving, founder of The Tailor, said: “The experience we are creating will celebrate the collaboration between The Specials and this iconic British fashion label - a brand that I personally love and one that has true heritage, resonance and strong brand values. This is the start of a long term relationship with Fred Perry and we are thrilled that it is starting with a project that not only involves the seminal band The Specials but also celebrates Fred Perry’s approach to collaboration.”
