Avis unveils pan-European Facebook campaign

Car rental company Avis has unveiled a Facebook campaign, ‘Avis ArtCar’, created by digital agency Syzygy.

The campaign aims to encourage the public, across eight European countries, to design an Avis ArtCar.

French animation artist McBess and British illustrator Si Scott created the first two designs for the company, with three other European artists/designers to also create designs.

Entrants can upload their designs on a dedicated Facebook page where they can also vote for their favourite designs. Once the promotion closes on 14 November the five designers/artists Avis ArtCar submissions, along with the best three public entries, will be produced and made available for free hire in the participating countries.

Xavier Vallee, Avis EMEA director of eCommerce, said: “This is Avis’ first pan-European social media campaign.

“When Syzygy came up with the Avis ArtCar concept, we immediately felt that it was something that would resonate with our customers.”
