Feather Brooksbank is to be rebranded as Carat Edinburgh by owner Aegis, with the Manchester office set to be merged with Carat Manchester.

The change follows the acquisition of MediaVest Manchester earlier this year, which led to queries over the future of Feather Brooksbank’s English office at the time.

No redundancies are expected as a result of the move.

Charlotte Bell, director for Feather Brooksbank, explained that the change in name would allow the office in Edinburgh to focus on its work in Scotland, while aligning the agency more closely with the Carat brand and allow it to take advantage of the training and development offered within the group. Clients would also not experience any difference, with the same staff working on the same accounts, while founders Stewart Feather and Giles Brooksbank, would also remain, she added.

At the time of the acquisition of MediaVest Manchester, The Drum was told that the two agencies would be 'working together.'
