The supermarket price was is set to continue, as Sainsbury’s says that it plans to match the prices of some of its products also sold by Tesco and Asda.

The supermarket chain, the third largest in the UK, will begin to issue coupons from the Wednesday to customers, offering the value difference its own branded goods, and those also offered by the other stores.

The promotion aims to match Tesco’s recently launched price drop campaign, which saw the company cut its prices by £500m in order to compete with Asda.
