Virtual restaurant seeks applicants to appear in online ad campaign

A virtual restaurant, involving Jonathon Davies, winner of ITV’s Britain’s Best Dish 2012, seeking customers to feature in an online advertising campaign.

Davies is looking for applicants to contact him to promote the launch of online project runyourownrestaurant.com, which aims to bring together 10,000 people to create, design and run and London restaurant.

120 people are being sought from Leeds and the surrounding areas to feature in a promotional campaign for the site.

The restaurant will allow public members to see how the restaurant works on a daily basis through a live HD video steam.

The 10,000 members signed up will be offer the opportunity to vote on decisions around the creation and running of the restaurant, including issues over location, style, menu, wine list and staff.

A week dedicated cooking channel will also be hosted by the site, offering members unlimited access to the restaurants recipes by its chefs, as well as a points scheme to be redeemed for prizes.

An app is also being developed, which will be free to download to all members.

The project is expected to run for two years at each restaurant launched, with a second restaurant set to open in New York using the same concept.
