Twitter sets up new Manhattan base

Social networking site Twitter has opened up a new headquarters in on Madison Avenue in New York.

The Manhattan headquarters was opened yesterday by chief product officer Jack Dorsey, alongside Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Dorsey said that New York held many opportunities for the company; “Twitter and New York share the same constant pulse of energy. We’re looking forward to growing our presence in a city that has more Twitter users than any other city in the world.”

The office will employ 40-full time members of staff, including designers and developers.
