Jersey Telecom has unveiled its new corporate identity created by CheethamBellJWT.

The Manchester agency was appointed to Jersey Telecom's through-the-line account earlier this year. It was briefed to handle a full-rebranding project that would be rolled out into ongoing multi-media campaigns.

The new identity sees the company drop Jersey from its name in favour of JT as it makes a bid for global expansion.

"We agreed that we would evolve the Jersey Telecom name and replace it with JT," said its head of marketing Tamara O'Brien.

"As well as being more contemporary and confident, it will also help reflect the fact that as a company we are now both more than Jersey and more than telecoms. This move will mark another step in meeting our 5 year growth strategy which will also involve us attracting more business to Jersey from the international market."

Leighton Horsley, head of account handling at CBJWT, said: “Our integrated launch campaign included logo design, web design, social media, in-store, radio, outdoor, print and sponsorship.

"2012 will see the development of above-the-line campaigns, social media and experiential ideas that will further bring ‘Join Together’ to life."
