Google pays tribute to Steve Jobs on its homepage
After the news was announced of the death of Jobs, who has fought cancer since 2004, Google placed the words 'Steve Jobs, 1955 - 2011, with a link through to Apple's Tribute page to him.
Apple itself has placed a picture of Jobs on its homepage in tribute.
The announcement of his death was made by Apple CEO to staff this morning, with a page of condolence opened in his memory, asking people to email rememberingsteve@apple.com with their thoughts on him.
