Tourism body VisitLanarkshire is launching its autumn marketing campaign to attract more visitors to the region.

VisitLanarkshire’s latest marketing drive will target the central belt with a mix of radio, outdoor and online advertising, while PR and media relations will raise the region’s profile amongst a wider audience.

Mark Calpin, chair of the Lanarkshire Area Tourism Partnership, said: “After such positive results earlier in the year, we are very keen to carry on the good work and build on the successes of the spring and summer activity. More and more people are realising Lanarkshire is an exciting destination to visit and if we continue to work hard, I’m confident this trend will continue.

“With half-term only a few weeks away, autumn will be particularly busy for Lanarkshire’s tourism industry and we will be doing all we can to support our members and ensure the campaign is a success.”

Lanarkshire is hosting various events this autumn, including the RACMSA (RAC Motor Sports Association) Rally of Scotland, theBritish Gas Great Scottish Swim, and the Biggar Little Festival.
