Former Big Brother star Jade Goody, Tony Blair’s attack dog Alistair Campbell and two former News of the World managers have been named as the latest alleged victims in the hacking scandal embroiling News International.

The latest allegations will heap further misery on Rupert Murdoch, who is now facing possible action in the US, and sets a new ethical low for the publisher as the Goody allegations come at a time when the reality TV personality was dying of cancer.

Goody’s mother, Jackley Budden, believes journalists were hacking both her and her daughters phone to obtain information after reading about the Milly Dowler case.

A further, potentially even more serious, allegation is that a former deputy editor of the paper received secret payments totalling £25k for ‘crime exclusives’ whilst working as a PR consultant for Scotland Yard.

Detectives unearthed the latest evidence whilst scouring billing records whilst investigating the papers activities.
