Judging for the Social Buzz Awards took place in Glasgow yesterday as part of Social Media Week, and saw one judge, Zoe Macerlean, social media manager for Tesco.com handed an extra special treat for lunch – fried pizza.

Macerlean, being from south of the Border, had previously expressed her disbelief that such cuisine could exist, and was surprised – and somewhat bemused – to confronted with the Scottish delicacy.

Chief heckler was blogger for the day, Craig McGill from Contently Managed.

Other judges on the panel were social media trainer Rene Looper, Chris Jones, social media manager at BBC, Colin Gilchrist, social media strategy planning and training director at Digital Face, Paul Fabretti, director of digital strategy, at Origin Creative Design, Phil Adams, planning director at Blonde Digital, Dave Coplin, director of search, UK at Microsoft, Jeff Coghlan, managing director at Matmi and Zoe Macerlean, social media manager at Tesco.com.

Eventually chairman Paul Fabretti is said to have asked for the offending food to be removed from the room, unlikely that he would have done the same however, had he had ten pints first.
