McCann Erickson Manchester has launched a new specialist media arm which aims to bring together a number of services, entitled McCann Talk.

The new division will offer clients a mix of disciplines including digital engagement, SEO, social media, PR, community engagement and events and follows the demand by recent clients such as Wickes and Halewood International for integrated campaigns featuring digital, social, search and PR activity.

Abi Whitfield, group account director at McCann Erickson Manchester, will head up McCann Talk, while the social media aspect of the division will be led by social media and PR director Robin Wilson, with the involvement of a team of 25, who will offer reputation management, social media engagement, SEO, digital content generation, B2B, media relations and regional PR.

Abi Whitfield commented: “The team we have here at McCann Talk is unique – we have the ability to offer clients an unbiased view on how to achieve results. Our campaigns are built on insight, planning and creativity so we know how to reach an audience and the best way to engage them.

“The way information is consumed has changed. Brands can no longer rely on consumers finding them on the channel of their choice; brands have to be ready to engage with all channels consumers use from the street to the blog. McCann Talk is about getting people talking about our clients in both on and offline channels by putting social thinking at the heart of everything we do.

“We have great ambition for our clients and are able to share our knowledge of emerging media and technology to ensure they are at the forefront of consumer engagement. Our creativity, ideas and people are what make us stand out.”

McCann Talk will support agency clients and the McCann Network both nationally and internationally.
