The Drum announced as media partner at this year’s Silicon Beach

The Drum has been announced as media partner for this year’s Silicon Beach event, which is set to take place 28th-29th September 2011 at Pavillion Dance, Bournemouth, Dorset.

The theme for the event, which is organised by Bournemouth-based digital networking and support group Meetdraw, will be ‘digital innovation and storytelling – new ideas to sell your brand’. It will see speakers delve into topics from cross platform distribution, online video and gaming to social media, and connected cities.

This year’s speakers include Made by Many’s Tim Malbon, Ogilvy’s Nicole Yershon, Grape Digital’s Mark Malone and Virgin Media’s executive director of brand and marketing, Jeff Dodds.

"Bournemouth is home to some of the UK's leading agencies based outside of the capital, so it seems only fitting that it should stage a conference the likes of which would normally only be seen in London" said Matt Desmier, MD of creative consultancy Wise Old Uncle and orchestrator of Meetdraw Presents... Silicon Beach.
