Google UK has set itself a target of conducting 1,500 one to one consultancies with small and medium sized businesses in Liverpool online as part of a three month bid to get businesses in the city online.

Hiring a mobile juice bar for the push Google will traverse the city with a group of consultants in tow – dishing out 40 minute consultations alongside squeezed orange juice.

The search giant believes that such efforts will enable selected firms to boost their growth rates by embracing the internet, at no cost to themselves.

Services on offer include a digital health check, advising how the internet can be harnessed for business growth and tailored advice on online advertising.

In a statement Google said: “This won't be a fleeting visit, we're here to stay. Alongside our big flashy launch event and in-depth workshops, there will be a legacy of events lasting into 2012.”
