Having this week claimed that Google was manipulating its search engine results, Stagecoach entrepreneur Sir Brian Souter has called on website owners to contact him should they find their own sites are being blocked by the search engine giant.

This week, Souter claimed his own site, www.briansouter.com, was being blocked, having previously been the top listing when searching for ‘Brian Souter’ through Google.

“We know other sites have met with a similar fate,” said Gordon Beattie PR and media adviser to Sir Brian. “We would like specific examples so that we can pass the information on to Westminster’s Culture, Media and Sport Committee.

“We will also pass the details to the European Union’s antitrust investigation which is looking into Google’s manipulation of search engine results.”

Souter is calling on those who have experienced similar problems to contact him through his website.
