Online news and information franchise, Guide2Bristol, is launching a new campaign to help promote local business.

The Bristol Shop Local campaign will run across the whole of the city and focus on local businesses in each individual area of Bristol, promoting them directly to the people who want to spend money in their part of town.

A statement on Guide2Bristol’s website states: “As a website that helps to promote local traders and independent shops throughout Bristol, one thing that we hear time and time again is that it’s getting harder and harder for these great Bristol businesses to get customers through their doors – especially when people often don’t know what they’ve got on their own doorstep.”

“Guide2Bristol is launching the Bristol Shop Local campaign to tell everyone across the city that when it comes to local shopping, now is time to use it, or lose it.”

The site’s readers will use Twitter to help share tips on their favourite local businesses. The campaign will be supported by a series of features that focus on local areas around Bristol and will be providing local traders information on the best ways to market themselves online.
