Prezola.com, the new online wish list and gifting site has appointed strategic and creative marketing firm TheAgency to handle its pre-Christmas launch.

Prezola already boasts more than 250,000 products from 250 retail brands including household favourites such as John Lewis, Amazon, French Connection and Toys R Us.

Designed to make online gift shopping easier, Prezola allows users to create and share their ideal wish list with friends and family. The gift list is a compilation of all the products they’d like to receive for special gifting occasions such as Christmas and birthdays’, weddings and new babies. Prezola will provide recommendations on the most popular items for each category making compiling lists easier.

Prezola’s unique selling point is that it enables users to instantly share lists with friends and family through Facebook, so that they can automatically buy you the gifts you want.

Aimed initially at busy mums with young children, Prezola was conceived by Dom Beaven, a former board director at Future Publishing and head of digital and social media at Comic Relief and FIFA’s 1Goal World Cup legacy.

“People really want to know what to buy each other and Prezola is designed for the social networking age, makes choosing, sharing and buying gifts an essential part of your online profile,” explained Beaven.

Beaven states that the company aims to reach 50,000 users in time for Christmas 2012.

“We are delighted to have been appointed,” explained Saman Mansourpour, partner at TheAgency.

“Prezola is a new concept, and one we believe there is a strong market for. We have already laid down the launch strategy and will be working closely with Mumsnet and Facebook during the first few months.

“It’s vital that we get busy Mums and their children on board from the outset, and Mumsnet provides a fantastic launch platform with over 1 million members who can help us shape and refine Prezola in time for the Christmas rush.”
